Medical Micro-Loans


​"Help families and communities access the medicine, surgeries and healthcare services they need"

Many people have unaffordable, but curable health problems that prevent them from working. As a result they and their families face poverty. Supporting Human Initiative has decided to use micro-loans to help them pay for medical procedures or medicines that will allow them to recover full health. Then they will be able to return to work sparing their families from crushing poverty.                                
                                               

"Low-income families are often forced to sell family assets or resort to informal lenders in order to pay for unexpected medical bills. By providing these families with accessible financing, SHI will enable patients to, over time, pay their hospital bills and doctor’s fees, as well as to buy any medical equipment needed for their recovery."
